Today I’ve experimented a new recipe! I was thinking how to mix my favourite pasta in Italy, Oglio ed olio, and one of the best things that you can find in the UK… best quality bacon!! I’ve come up with this recipe and I hope you enjoy as much as my partner.
Ingredients for 2 people:
200 gr of linguine pasta
4 slices of uncooked bacon
2 garlic cloves
100gr of good quality olive oil
Chilly powder or flakes
Put a pasta pot on the fire full of salted water and while you’re waiting for it to boil start work on the other ingredients.
Slice the bacon in ¼ quarter inch pieces. Stir-fry them without any oil in a non-stick frying pan. Once nice and golden add the garlic finely chopped. Let it settle in for a few minutes adding in the chilly at taste, salt and the olive oil. Remove from the fire.
When the water for the pasta is ready, cook the pasta according to the timing on the packaging. Once drained, put the bacon pan back on the fire and add the pasta as well. Stir-fry for a few minutes and serve piping hot!
