It’s been a while since my last post, in the meanwhile I’ve started a new job, I’ve been in Italy for my mum birthday and I’ll go back there in a few weeks for my birthday… an important one… I’ll be 30. It’s quite a scary one, when you turn 30 you should be wiser, but Am I? I don’t know, but for now I know that this morning I woke up with a Focaccia crave… so I’ve baked one!
If you need one too you need:
500 gr of bread flour
1 cup or warm water
30 gr of fresh yeast
1 pinch of salt
1 pinch of sugar
50 gr of olive oil
4 spoonful of tomato sauce
Put your flour in a large bowl or in your food mixed and add in the middle the warm water where you have melted the fresh yeast. Mix all together with the sugar, the salt and the oil.
If your dough is too crumbly just add some more water or if it’s too soft add just a bit of flour.
Knead it for 10-15 minutes and let it rise for 1 hour in a warm place in your kitchen.
Now stetch the dough in a backing tray greased with some olive oil. Spread the tomato sauce on the dough, add some olive oil and a sprinkle of salt and oregano.
Let it rise again for about 15 minutes meanwhile preheat the oven at 180 degrees.
Bake it for 30-40 minutes until the surface is golden and inviting.
Serve it with… well, you don’t really need anything else!
